Lorenzo & Isabelle IGT
The current owner purchased Il Palazzone in 2000. For five years he researched and studied various Supertuscans before settling on a blend of his own. From the very beginning he knew that he wanted to make a wine to commemorate his parents. Lorenzo & Isabelle were their names and this wine was made to honour them and their marriage. The symphony of varietals and the harmony of the blend is a testament to the union between Lorenzo & Isabelle; the strength and elegance of Lorenzo and the sweetness and determination of Isabelle.
The wine is deep dark red. The bouquet shows intense fruit with an abundance of cherries. Tertiary notes of sweet oak and spice reveal all the prettiness of Cabernet Franc backed up by the rigour and austerity of Montalcino. Lorenzo & Isabelle is potent, complex and velvety and silky with noble tannins. This wine was considered to be one of the top 100 wines in Italy in 2007 and it has only improved in the bottle since then.
