The current owner purchased Il Palazzone in 2000. For five years he researched and studied various Supertuscans before settling on a blend of his own. From the very beginning he knew that he wanted to make a wine to commemorate his parents. Lorenzo & Isabelle were their names and this wine was made to honour them and their marriage. The symphony of varietals and the harmony of the blend is a testament to the union between Lorenzo & Isabelle; the strength and elegance of Lorenzo and the sweetness and determination of Isabelle.
The first bottling of Lorenzo & Isabelle was the 2005 vintage, released in 2007. Upon release this wine was considered to be one of the top 100 wines in Italy.. The second bottling of Lorenzo & Isabelle is the 2013 vintage, released in 2017 – ten years on.
The wine is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
